About Room to Grow
Room to Grow, a nonprofit organization founded in 1998 and located in Boston and New York, is dedicated to enriching the lives of babies born into poverty throughout their critical first three years of development. Parents expecting a baby are referred to Room to Grow by selected prenatal programs assisting low-income families. Upon their referral, parents visit Room to Grow’s warm and inviting space once every three months from just before the birth of the baby until their child turns three. During their one-on-one appointments with our staff social workers, typically lasting two hours, parents receive developmental information, customized support, referrals to other community resources, and all of the needed baby items to ensure a healthy and secure start for their child. Boston Kids Really Rock will be held at at The Lawn on D outdoor arts space at the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority in South Boston. from 11am until 6pm. The event is free, and while The Lawn at D will be bursting with music and laughter, the festival has a serious purpose: all proceeds will support Cradles to Crayons.

The One Family Music Festival, presented by Mommy Poppins Boston, will be held at the Exchange Conference Center and Boston Fish Pier, 212 Northern Avenue from 12 noon until 5pm. The event is free, and while the Pier and surrounding area will be bursting with music and laughter, the festival has a serious purpose: all proceeds will support The One Fund Boston.
The One Fund Boston was established immediately after the tragic events of April 15, 2013, to raise money to help those families most affected by the tragic events that unfolded during the 2013 Boston Marathon.
Free, Family-Friendly Festival Features Music & Fun
Family-friendly musicians are donating their time and talents to make this a fun-filled, inspiring afternoon. While the event at the pier is free, donations are encouraged, as 100% of proceeds from The One Family Music Festival are earmarked for The One Fund Boston.
Children and their families can participate in hands-on art activities, and everyone is encouraged to enjoy the local food and fabulous music. It’s a day packed with fun…all for a good cause.
